1) What is the CMP and why it matters

A Consent Management Platform (CMP) lets you choose how optional cookies/identifiers are used. You can accept, reject, or refine categories at any time. We default optional categories to off unless you choose otherwise.

  • FAQ Centre — https://betmarino.bet/en/faq/

2) How to open the CMP & change choices

  • Open the CMP: Use the floating “Privacy/Cookies” button or revisit this page; if you can’t see it, clear site cookies and reload.
  • Change or withdraw: Adjust categories and Save. Your latest choice overwrites earlier ones.
  • Applies to this browser/device: Choices are stored per browser/device; repeat on others if needed.

3) Cookie/identifier categories (plain English)

CategoryWhat it doesDefaultCan I turn it off?
Strictly NecessaryCore site functions (security, load balancing, consent logging)OnNo (site won’t function reliably)
FunctionalPreferences like language, accessibility settingsOffYes
Analytics/MeasurementUnderstand traffic in privacy-first ways (aggregated or modelled where possible)OffYes
Marketing/PersonalisationMeasure outreach, avoid irrelevant messagesOffYes

We avoid unnecessary identifiers and keep optional categories off by default.

4) What happens when you choose “Allow” or “Deny”

  • Allow: The selected category may set/read cookies or equivalent storage.
  • Deny: That category is disabled; measurement may fall back to privacy-preserving or modelled methods without personal identifiers where feasible.
  • Change later: Your new choice applies on the next page load/events.

5) Regional options (high-level)

Some regions provide additional toggles (e.g., “Do Not Sell/Share” where applicable). If a regional control appears in the CMP, it overrides more general settings for that jurisdiction. When unsure, open the CMP and review your regional panel.

6) Retention & minimisation (general principles)

  • Keep the minimum needed for the stated purpose.
  • Shortest feasible retention, then aggregate or delete.
  • Access limited to roles that need it for site operation or compliance.
  • Security hygiene: TLS for transport, least-privilege access, periodic reviews.

We do not publish an exhaustive vendor list here; where applicable, vendor information is available inside the CMP panel.

7) Your data rights (where applicable)

  • Access/Correction/Deletion/Restriction: Make a request via Contact — https://betmarino.bet/en/contact/
  • Withdraw consent: Use the CMP at any time.
  • Complaints: You may contact your local data authority (jurisdiction-specific).

This page is not legal advice. For specific obligations/rights, consult official sources and a qualified professional in your jurisdiction.

8) Privacy-first browsing habits (recommended)

  • Type addresses manually and check the certificate (🔒): https://betmarino.bet/en/security/
  • Use unique passwords + 2FA on key accounts: https://betmarino.bet/en/2fa-password/
  • Be cautious with links/attachments in email or chat: https://betmarino.bet/en/email-safety/
  • Review your browser privacy settings and clear site data periodically.

9) Accessibility & transparency

  • The CMP uses clear labels, keyboard focus states, and adequate contrast.
  • We show the Updated date on this page and record material changes in a short note (see below).

10) Short FAQ (informational only)

Q1: Are optional cookies on by default?

No. Optional categories are off unless you choose otherwise in the CMP.

Q2: Where can I change my choices later?

Open the CMP from the floating button or revisit this page and relaunch the panel.

Q3: Why can’t I turn off “Strictly Necessary”?

Those functions are essential for the site to work (and to remember your consent itself).

Q4: If I deny Analytics, do you still measure visits?

We avoid optional identifiers; in some cases, privacy-preserving or modelled approaches may be used. You remain in control via the CMP.

Q5: Do choices sync across my devices?

No. They’re set per browser/device.

Q6: How long do you keep logs?

As short as feasible for the stated purpose and compliance; then aggregate or delete.

Q7: Can I request a copy or deletion of my data?

Yes—subject to jurisdictional rules. Start here: https://betmarino.bet/en/contact/

Q8: Do you sell personal data?

Where a regional “Do Not Sell/Share” toggle applies, it will appear in the CMP and override general settings.

Q9: Does using private/incognito mode change consent?

Incognito may limit storage scope; you may be asked again because the previous state isn’t retained.

Q10: Is this legal advice?

No. This is a plain-English overview. Check official sources and local professional guidance.
